All Confirmed Genshin Impact 2.6 Characters | Screen Rant

The Genshin Impact 2.6 Special Program has revealed which characters will be starring on their own Banners in the next update, which is set to arrive on March 30, 2022. The livestream, which aired earlier today, teased upcoming content like The Chasm, but the biggest reveals are arguably for which characters are newly playable. Here’s every character officially confirmed for Genshin Impact 2.6.

Prior to the livestream, HoYoverse (previously miHoYo) had shown off images and info regarding Kamisato Ayato. Fans have been eagerly anticipating Ayato, who is Ayaka’s brother, since he was mentioned in earlier content. While these early reveals stopped short of confirming Ayato for Genshin Impact 2.6, the implication was certainly there. Then, thanks to beta leaks from 2.6 that showed off Ayato’s Talents, Constellations, and more, Ayato’s release for the new update was all but assured.

The Genshin Impact 2.6 livestream did indeed confirm Ayato as a new playable character. The Hydro Sword user is a 5-star character who will star on his own Banner, which means he’ll have a limited-time boosted pull rate. Although Ayato seems to be the only new playable character for Genshin Impact 2.6, more characters are getting Banner reruns during the full six-week course of the update.

As with previous recent updates, Genshin Impact 2.6 will feature some returning 5-star characters on Banner reruns. Although leaked ahead of the livestream, Venti will be appearing on a Banner during the first half of 2.6 alongside the Kamisato Ayato Banner. Venti remains a Genshin Impact fan-favorite character, and he was the first 5-star character to be featured on a Banner when the game launched in 2020, so it’s great to see he’ll be returning again in the upcoming version.

The final three weeks of the 2.6 update will feature another returning 5-star character: Ayato’s sister, Ayaka – a Cryo Sword user. For now, Ayaka is the only 5-star Banner confirmed for the last half of the update, but it makes sense she’s returning since her family is a big focus of the 2.6 content. Overall, the latest Genshin Impact livestream gave viewers plenty to look forward to. Thankfully, they won’t have to wait too much longer to start pulling for Kamisato Ayato and the other characters. Genshin Impact 2.6, called “Zephyr of the Violet Garden,” is set to release on March 30, 2022, with varying times depending on someone’s country and region.
