Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer Follow-Up Should Be His Canceled 2009 Movie

Unlike other directors, Christopher Nolan doesn’t have many undeveloped projects, but his next movie absolutely has to be his canceled 2009 project, The Prisoner. In 2010, Warner Bros. released one of the most original and inventive sci-fi action movies of the 21st century, Nolan’s Inception. The movie has become a classic, as it is #14 on IMDb Top 250 list, and its ending is theorized over endlessly. However, Before Nolan directed Inception, he had to choose between making the 2010 movie and another project he was interested in. Inception is a mind-warping and revelatory experience in terms of both narrative and envelope-pushing action sequences, but the alternative could have been better still.
