The Friday the 13th franchise could do with a sharper satirical reboot, and luckily the best plot for this potential revival to follow has already been outlined by an obscure 80s horror sequel. The Friday the 13th movies have been trapped in a battle over who owns the rights to the character of Jason Voorhees, the location of Camp Crystal Lake, and the title Friday the 13th for some years now. As a result, viewers have been waiting for a new installment in the series since 2009’s (surprisingly solid) Friday the 13th remake.
