Harry Potter: 8 Voldemort Spinoffs Twitter Would Like To See

The Wizarding World has spawned some of the fantasy genre’s most magical stories, with viewers most recently enjoying the Fantastic Beasts movies. Lately, Ralph Fiennes has expressed his desire for a Lord Voldemort spin-off series (Via MovieWeb),  which has left audiences eager to discover more about the Dark Lord’s life.

Harry Potter’s most devoted fans have suggested a variety of ideas for a Tom Riddle-focused saga, as they display their keen enthusiasm for Tom’s story to be told in greater detail. Twitter, in particular, have offered several suggestions for a Lord Voldemort movie or TV Series, with its most ardent users appearing deeply passionate about exploring the Wizarding World’s darkest corners.

Over the course of three movies, the Fantastic Beasts franchise has enchanted viewers, with audiences quickly falling in love with the adventures of Newt Scamander and his trusted ally Jacob Kowalski. Twitter’s @Sapthethree wishes to see the eccentric magizoologist cross paths with Lord Voldemort, suggesting a “Secrets of Voldemort” movie.

This truly magical proposition could present a thrilling entry in the Fantastic Beasts series, as Newt and his friends take on the Dark Lord.  The spin-off saga’s focus on fantastical beasts could also see the return of some of Tom Riddle’s most fearsome creatures, including the Basilisk and the Giants, with Newt attempting to persuade these powerful beings to switch sides and stand against Voldemort.

Through both the books and the movies, Hogwarts has delivered some of the Wizarding World’s most spectacular moments, as audiences witness Harry and his friends’ time at the Wizarding school. Twitter user @EtherealDreame3 has suggested that Tom Riddle’s school days could make for an enjoyable feature, expressing his yearning for “more spin-off films.”

Tom Riddle’s Hogwarts journey could give some interesting back story for the future villain, as viewers are shown the Dark Lord’s early days. Additionally, there are still many things audiences don’t know about Tom Riddle, which could be explored further during a prequel movie, offering new insight into one of the Wizarding World’s biggest threats.

Despite Harry Potter’s immense popularity, the fantasy saga has yet to receive a TV spin-off, with JK Rowling’s Wizarding World having instead been adapted exclusively for the big screen. Twitter’s @Vinooog believes this should change, with an in-universe TV Show made by Voldemort entitled “Squib Games.”

This heightened concept could provide a darkly comic take on the Harry Potter series, as Voldemort tasks the wizarding population with competing in a series of deadly games. “Squib Games” would have the potential to deliver some of the Wizarding World’s most gruesome scenes, with the competitors meeting various nasty fates, as a result of Tom Riddle’s sadistic games.

Lord Voldemort’s immense power sees him terrorize two generations of wizards, with his warped views sparking two wizarding wars. The original Harry Potter series focuses exclusively on the Second Wizarding War, as Harry leads the fight against He Who Must Not Be Named. However, Twitter poster @NargleInAFez thinks the First Wizarding War deserves the spin-off treatment, requesting a TV Series “with Lord Voldemort focusing on the Order of the Phoenix.”

The First Wizarding War could provide many gripping twists and turns for fans, with there still being many things audiences never knew about the First Wizarding War. Furthermore, the series could feature some of the franchise’s most iconic characters, with individuals such as James Potter and Remus Lupin having stood against Voldemort during this dark stretch in the franchise’s history.

Harry Potter’s later years showcase the Wizarding World’s darkest hours, as Voldemort’s grip starts to tighten over the magical community. Rufus Scrimgeour’s death leads to the Dark Lord taking over the Ministry Of Magic, and this bleak period of the fantasy saga has piqued the interest of @TheSleepingGod, who would like to see a TV Series “based on the Ministry of Magic,” following the Minister of Magic’s tragic demise.

This grim chapter in Harry Potter’s history could offer viewers an exciting glimpse into the politics of the Wizarding World, as Voldemort overthrows the Ministry Of Magic. @TheSleepingGod’s spin-off proposition carries plenty of potential, suggesting a series that takes a deep dive into the corruption present within the magical government during this time, as the Dark Lord exacts his influence over the magic community.

Alternate realities have been responsible for some of cinema’s most entertaining tales, with films including Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness having delivered audiences some particularly engaging multiverse stories. Twitter’s @StaweckiMichael would like to see the Harry Potter franchise offer its take on the parallel universe concept, suggesting a plot where “Voldemort lives and Harry dies.”

@StaweckiMichael’s fun notion contains a few similarities to Harry Potter And The Cursed Child’s storyline, which audiences already believe could work as a film. Cursed Child’s “Voldemort Day” reality could make for a chilling feature, as viewers are introduced to a world that has fallen under Voldemort’s rule.

Voldemort has forged many allies throughout the Wizarding World stories, and one of his greatest friends is his pet snake Nagini. He Who Must Not Be Named’s first encounter with Nagini has yet to be portrayed within the franchise, however, and this Twitter user is desperate to see this explored, pointing out that there’s “so much material.”

Nagini has become an especially important character within Voldemort’s backstory, with the Dark Lord having chosen to make her a Horcrux. Additionally, the Fantastic Beasts movies reveal Tom Riddle’s snake to be a Maledictus, which could add a further dimension to Voldemort and Nagini’s first meeting, with the evil wizard potentially acting as the reason behind Nagini becoming permanently stuck in the form of a snake.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows provides a truly satisfying conclusion to the original Harry Potter saga, with Harry and his friends emerging triumphant against Voldemort. While the Deathly Hallows’ closing words suggest the Dark Lord never returns, Twitter poster @Carladk would like to see him terrorize the wizarding community once more, suggesting “Voldemort comes back again.”

Voldemort’s re-emergence would not be the first time he has avoided his death, with He Who Must Not Be Named having previously escaped his demise at the hands of the baby Harry. His return could spark a new sense of terror for Hogwarts’ next generation, with the school’s latest students forced to deal with the Wizarding World’s most unstoppable threat.
