While Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare is one of the weakest entries into the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise, the sequel did feature one of the most inspired villains in the series. 1984’s original Nightmare On Elm Street was a masterpiece of slasher cinema thanks to its simple story of a supernatural child murderer who haunts the children of the mob that killed him and attacks them in their dreams. However, later Nightmare On Elm Street sequels ruined this straightforward setup with increasingly complicated lore.
