The Matrix’s Burly Brawl In Sifu Has Neo Getting Revenge On Smith

New mods have transformed the smooth martial arts gameplay of Sifu into a new Matrix game that fans have been wanting for years. The third-person beat-em-up was one of the year’s most anticipated games that met the hype for many fans. Sifu was praised for its easy-to-pick-up controls and challenging levels. However, after defeating the game’s main story, many players felt disappointed that the game didn’t provide more to accomplish. To remedy this, some modders have altered the game’s PC version to create some fascinating results.

Modders have been able to fix broken games and breathe new life into others where players desire more content. Their work has created new content that has led to thousands of hours of enjoyment for gamers worldwide. Sifu has seen some creative mods that have transformed the game’s main protagonist into different characters to use a variety of martial arts against hordes of enemies. Thanks to mods, players can play through Sifu as characters like Batman or Elden Ring’s Director Hidetaka Miyazaki, thanks to those mods. However, a small collection of mods has changed both the game’s hero and villains to transform Sifu into a new experience many Matrix fans have waited for.

A small batch of Sifu mods has transformed the fast-paced brawler into a new Matrix game, allowing fans to play the epic rematch between Neo and Agent Smith. Geoff Keighley posted a trailer of the Sifu Matrix mods on his Twitter, which is so good that it could easily fool many into thinking that a new Matrix game exists. The mods reskin Sifu’s main character as Neo, and every enemy in the game now looks like Agent Smith.

The Sifu mod is a clear nod to the influence that The Matrix drew from kung-fu movies. With the recent release of a fourth film, The Matrix: Resurrections, many fans hoped that reignited passion for the franchise could result in a new game. People lucky enough to purchase a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X were able to download a gorgeous demo titled The Matrix Awakens. The incredible showcase of what the Unreal 5 game engine is capable of and stunning action sequences impressed players as much as it teased.

Keanu Reeves said he’d do a new Matrix game but there hasn’t been any news of a follow-up to games like The Matrix Awakens or The Matrix: Path of Neo. If a project could someday combine the stunning visuals seen in the Matrix Awakens demo and the butter-smooth combat of Sifu, it would make fans of both franchises very happy.
