Eight exceptional finalists were selected from almost 700 submissions to pitch their projects virtually to our esteemed panel of jurors, including Wendy Calhoun (Writer and Producer, EMPIRE, STATION 19, etc.), David Rabinowitz (Screenwriter, BLACKKKLANSMAN), Yichen Ma of Lit Entertainment Group, Christian Taylor of Taylor Lane Productions, and Anna Randal of Independent Artist Group.

Winner:

Growing Old by Lestyn Evans

Growing Old is the story of lovelorn author Emmett Carlyle who’s been 25 for nearly forty years, and his recounts of his previous loves as he makes the final arrangements for his best friends wedding.

First Runner-Up:

I Do (x2) by Lauren Craig

A cheap OC father forces his Italian-American daughters to share a double wedding, but implementing his best used car salesman hacks risks ruining their big day.

Second Runner-Up:

Foreign Exchange by Lauren Warren

Based on true events, recent college graduate Maya Cavanaugh travels to Kosovo for a humbling, hilarious and heart-wrenching journey of self-discovery and enlightenment far away from classrooms and the comforts of home.
