Now I know I’m good enough to ghostwrite a book, but it’s hard work
I’ve been writing for decades, but I’ve focused primarily on selling my writing solutions to business owners and professionals over the last five years. I recently completed my first nonfiction ghostwriting project, one of the least enjoyable writing jobs I’ve done in decades.
While I am sure many writers focus on and thrive as ghostwriters, ghostwriting may not be for me. For others, ghostwriting is similar to my experience with commissioned paintings; art becomes work.
My passion for writing began early, encouraged by my father’s insistence on creativity and practicality. From writing letters to newspapers at 13 to building a career in business writing, I’ve always found solace and purpose in words.
Since then, I started writing my sales copy when building my first business. I’ve published hundreds of articles for publications such as The Business Journals and Huff Post, Medium, LinkedIn, and blogs I’ve built and sold. I’ve written or co-written five books with my name on the cover.
