Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse broke many records, far surpassing the original film’s box office to become Sony Animation’s biggest movie ever, setting up next year’s sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, nicely. The movie’s ending also provided a shocking bridge to the next film, with the debut of a Prowler variant of Miles, but the film’s original plans for that variant reveal that the ending tricked fans.
