Bachelorette Gabby Faces Tough Rejection In New Sneak Peek

In an exclusive sneak peek clip from The Bachelorette season 19 episode 3, the tables turn as Gabby Windey becomes the target for harsh rejections. Gabby was a fan favorite on The Bachelor season 26 led by Clayton Echard, along with pilot Rachel Recchia. When both Gabby and Rachel were announced as the leads of The Bachelorette season 19, fans were elated but also confused. During the season premiere, Gabby and Rachel met all 32 men together, and later each handed out their own first impression rose. In week 2, the women begin to carve their own love stories as they each went on separate one-on-one dates.

During the first few group and one-on-one dates of the season, it was evident that unlike Gabby, Rachel wasn’t having the best luck with the men. On her one-on-one date with race car driver Jordan Vandergriff, Rachel struggled when she could not feel a connection to him, which resulted in her sending him home. The next day Rachel watched on with bittersweet emotions, as romantic sparks flew between Gabby and Nate Mitchell on their one-on-one. Rachel also struggled during the afterparty of the group date, when several of the men confessed to Rachel that they were only there for Gabby. Rachel admitted that she was worried none of the men were interested in her.

While Bachelorette Rachel did not have the best time during week 2, a sneak peek clip released by Entertainment Weekly reveals that Gabby will instead face bad luck during week 3. The clip begins with Rachel speaking with several of the men at the cocktail party, where it is evident that she is in much better spirits. She tells the cameras that she is having a great time and that she hopes Gabby is as well. The clip then switches to Gabby, who sits down with Hayden Markowitz. Hayden tells Gabby that he only wanted to speak with her to let her know that he was only there for Rachel, then proceeds to tell her that she is too “rough around the edges for him.”

Hayden is not the only one to reject co-Bachelorette Gabby that night, as Jake Rapini proceeds to tell Gabby something similar. He begins by admitting that he and Gabby did not have the connection that he had hoped they would, even though Jake was one of Gabby’s favorite conversations on night one. Jake continues to explain that if Gabby was the only Bachelorette, he would not be able to convince himself to stay for her. Gabby does not take well to either conversation, and cries to the cameras that the conversations were “validating all her fears.”

Although Bachelor Nation fans adore both Gabby and Rachel, many did not agree with making both women share a season with the same pool of men in fear of something like these rejections happening and hurting both women. Some fans thought that Gabby and Rachel should have each had their own season, as Katie Thurston and Michelle Young did after both women from Matt James’ season were announced as the next leads. While Gabby and Rachel certainly have a special bond that Katie and Michelle did not have, fans nonetheless think both women deserved their own season. As The Bachelorette season 19 continues, fans are hopeful that both Gabby and Rachel will be able to find their forever partner.
