Beetlejuice Beetlejuice delves a lot deeper into the Neitherworld from the first movie, revealing more occupations, rules, and locations in the film’s afterlife. The story of Beetlejuice 2 is relatively simple: the death of Charles Deetz sees Lydia, Delia, and Astrid, Lydia’s daughter, return to the house originally owned by the Maitland family in Beetlejuice. Amid weddings and funerals, Astrid – played by Jenna Ortega in Beetlejuice 2‘s cast – is tricked into the afterlife, leaving Lydia no option but to enlist the help of Betelgeuse in a bid to save her daughter.
