As of 1 July 2026, the U.S. member of IFRRO, CCC, will extend the scope of its Annual Copyright Licence for Higher Education (ACLHE) to encompass internal-use AI reuse rights. This expansion is in response to the growing use of AI in higher education in the United States, CCC announced in a press release.
The ACLHE is a campus-wide licensing solution offering rights to reuse high-quality content in course materials, internal AI systems and scholarly research from participating rights holders. Detailed information about this license can be found here.
