Exposed: The Shocking Truth Behind the “Last Bookstore” 1,000-Copy Scam You Won’t Believe
Of course, I was started to get nervous.
In due time, “The Last Bookstore” stated that it had received the 1,000 copies of my book, but would not cut a check until they distributed them to all their branches and after the audits were complete. That would take several weeks.
I thought I was being scammed, but could not figure the scheme out. “The Last Bookstore” was not getting any money. They just had 1,000 copies of my book. Would they sell them on the black market? Unlikely. Most likely, the “printer” never printed the books, even though they said they did. There was no way to prove that the books were not printed. They assured me they were sent to the correct address.
