A spinoff and prequel to the wildly popular post-apocalyptic movie Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa boasts a star-studded cast including Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth. Coming from legendary Australian director George Miller, the film focuses on the titular character and explores her backstory before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road. Unlike the previous installments in the Mad Max franchise, Max Rockatansky does not seem to play a part in the spinoff prequel, and he certainly won’t be the focus, with Furiosa taking center stage. With a new character claiming the focus, the plot of Furiosa offers the Mad Max franchise a chance to move in an entirely new direction.
