Decades after audiences experienced their stories in animation, Disney’s 2023 The Little Mermaid brings new versions of Ariel and Prince Eric to life played by Halle Bailey and Jonah Hauer-King. The cores of the characters are largely kept the same for the remake, but the new adaptation does take some liberties when it comes to their lives and the tale of young love. However, even Ariel and Erc’s age in The Little Mermaid appears to have changed.
