Kalki 2898 AD has become the first Indian movie to be presented in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. Set in a futuristic world described as “Spice Punk,” the movie stars Deepika Padukone (who also starred in the xXx franchise movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage), Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Pasupathy. The science fiction epic, which was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, was written and directed by Nag Ashwin and is set to premiere on January 12, 2024.
