Following on from the hit BBC crime drama Luther, Luther: The Fallen Sun follows the titular detective’s investigation into a dangerous serial killer, played by The Lord of the Rings‘ Andy Serkis, with a level of derangement rivaled only by Gollum. Elba’s John Luther, however, falls victim to the killer’s machinations and is finally arrested, after evading the law for his morally dubious actions for five seasons.
