Park Seo-joon may not be introduced in The Marvels as Captain Marvel’s mysterious husband, based on one seemingly theory-debunking interview. First announced by Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige at SDCC 2019, The Marvels will see Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani team up as Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan in a space-faring adventure as part of the MCU’s Phase 5. Expected to release on November 10, 2023, the Captain Marvel sequel will take place in the MCU’s present day, some thirty years after the events of Larson’s 2019 debut, and will reveal more about what Carol Danvers has been doing during her lengthy absence from the MCU’s adventures prior to Avengers: Endgame.
