In November 2025, Writers Weekly covered a landmark decision from the Northern District of California.[1] The bellwether case of Calise v. Meta Platforms, Inc.[2] represented a watershed moment for all Facebook users and prospective Plaintiffs. Calise is significant because it was the first time litigants were able to pierce the broad immunity afforded to internet platform providers under Section 230 of the federal Communications Decency Act.
