Have you ever pondered the elusive nature of words? How they gather, almost like a flock of birds, searching for just the right perch? In this captivating poem, the author invites us to engage in a dialogue that’s both rich and mysterious, revealing layers of meaning tucked away, much like a child hiding in a game of hide-and-seek. The text dances around the complexities of language, reminding us that what we articulate can transform as it passes through our minds—bending and shifting like light through a prism. Ultimately, it’s a heartfelt reflection on our attempts to connect with one another through the delicate weaving of syllables and syntax. There is a conversation here
I am not aware of, a group of words clustering,
looking for a new home
There is a meaning hidden, like a child
playing a game, tucked inside a line,
a Derrida-like violence to language
What I have said is what I have said
but then that word passes through the mind
and like a prism, bends the light
And what we are left with
is the best we can do to love each other
with syllables and syntax.
