I honestly thought I might never write one of these posts, but I’ve been blogging for 12 years and I’m ready to at least take a long hiatus. Writing reviews and even reading have started to feel like homework. There are lots of great bloggers and readers who I still love talking to, but I’ve also been in a bit of a blogging/reading slump for over a year now. I think I need to try something different with my reading life – more time for book clubs, maybe reading more fiction than I have been lately – and see if I can get back to feeling like this is something fun.
Blogging has been one of my favorite life experiences, from hosting Nonfiction November with you all to commenting back and forth with some truly wonderful people. It’s become part of how I think of myself and I will definitely miss it. Thank you all so much for 12 wonderful years <3
PS – I am not yet sure what will be happening with Nonfiction November this year. If you’re someone who might be interested in hosting, reach out to me at kxw116@gmail.com and I’ll connect you with the other hosts from last year and to anyone else who expresses an interest.
