Many Black Widow villains from Marvel Comics were never adapted for the live-action MCU. Scarlett Johansson debuted as Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, in 2010’s Iron Man 2, a former agent of SHIELD who later became a founding member of the Avengers. Romanoff is widely regarded as one of the most wasted heroes in the MCU, as she only received her first solo film after her emotional sacrifice for the Soul Stone in Avengers: Endgame. In her nine MCU appearances, Johansson’s Black Widow fought a variety of villains, including Loki, the Winter Soldier, Ultron, and Thanos, but there are many Black Widow-related villains in Marvel Comics that she never battled.
