Disney has always been a titan when it comes to film, releasing beloved animated and live-action movies that are often critical and commercial successes. Disney owns the MCU, Star Wars, Avatar, and a massive backlog of iconic classics. Despite this, Disney has struggled to keep its momentum throughout the summer of 2023, with several big box office failures causing the company to lose an estimated $900 million across several underperforming movies.
