Beetlejuice 2 is slated to be Tim Burton’s next big blockbuster, and it will cement his comeback more than Wednesday ever could. Wednesday was a smash hit for Netflix and Burton, as well as propelling Jenna Ortega into the spotlight, and The Addams Family spin-off became one of the streaming service’s most-viewed shows ever. Wednesday follows the teenage titular character (Ortega) as she goes to Nevermore Academy, a school for society’s outsiders that all possess some supernatural gift. The dark, gothic vibe of Wednesday matches that of previous Addams Family adaptations and fits well into Burton’s style, which was praised highly following Wednesday’s release.
