One element of The Nun 2 was changed significantly following a series of test screenings. The movie, which premiered in theaters on September 8, is the ninth entry in The Conjuring Universe and a direct sequel to 2018’s The Nun. It follows Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga), now living in a secluded convent, as she is forced to return to face off against the demon Valak, who typically uses the guise of an evil nun (Bonnie Aarons), when the entity emerges from its hiding place in the body of her former guide Maurice (Jonas Bloquet) at a French boarding school.
