Who said romance can’t be fun? Actor Macaulay Culkin and his fiancée, Brenda Song, recently took off for a romantic vacation in Mexico to celebrate her 36th birthday, and the Home Alone star decided to add some extra fun by pretending to be part of the resort staff at the luxurious hotel, Nobu Los Cabos.
Macaulay posed for a series of goofy pics wearing a Nobu Los Cabos-branded polo shirt as he masqueraded around as a staff member at the hotel. He seemed to be waiting on her hand and foot, and he followed his fiancée around the hotel as the “poolside waiter, housekeeper, Cabana boy, room service attendant, [and] bell hop.”
Brenda seemed to enjoy the charade as she played along with Macaulay’s antics.

“So the lady and I went to @nobuloscabos for her birthday. On our first day we went to the gift shop and I found this shirt,” Macaulay wrote on Instagram. “Since now I looked like the staff I decided to spend my four days there masquerading as a: Poolside waiter, Housekeeper, Cabana boy, Room service attendant, Bell hop,” wrote Macaulay, one of the most beloved Hollywood child actors ever.”Thanks again @nobuloscabos for the fun time and excellent stay. And thanks for selling that shirt. It really made me feel like I belonged,” he added.

Song played along with Culkin’s gag throughout their stay. She posted several pictures from their trip on her own page, captioning one post: “Had the most incredible [time] celebrating my birthday in paradise. Thank you @nobuloscabos for the most incredible relaxing stay. I’m still full!”
Macaulay ended his gag with a post of him sprawled across a poolchair with the caption, “Who knew being on vacation would be such hard work? Thanks for letting me siesta on the job, @nobuloscabos.”

Fans found the charade hilarious and even made a reference to The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, in which Brenda played the character London Tipton.
“Some might say you were treating her to the suite life,” one said, while another commented, “Hahaha her facial expressions are the best.”
The resort also commented on Macaulay’s post and wrote, “So funny! We were happy with your visit. Thanks for staying with us.”

The couple, who have been together since 2018, got engaged in January 2022 and share two sons together.
Prior to the hotel shenanigans, Macaulay shared a sweet birthday tribute to his partner and wrote, “Happy birthday to the best friend, mother, ally, colleague, lover, and partner I could ever wish for. You are my reason. I love you.”
“P. S. The milk is due. Can you pick some up on your way home from work?” he added.
