Star Trek icon Jonathan Frakes compares Star Trek: Discovery season 5’s finale to Indiana Jones. Frakes is a director beloved by the various Star Trek casts, and he considers Discovery his “home” show. Jonathan directed the first half of Discovery season 5’s two-part finale, with executive producer Olatunde Osunsanmi helming the second half, which is now the series finale of Star Trek: Discovery. After Paraamount+ announced Star Trek: Discovery was canceled in March 2023, reshoots commenced weeks later to turn the finale episode into a proper finale for Star Trek: Discovery.
