Annabelle Gurwitch doesn’t beat about the bush. The first line of her cancer memoir, The End of My Life is Killing Me (Zibby Publishing; March 2026), states straightaway that she got slammed with an out-of-the-blue stage-4 cancer diagnosis. The cover displays the lighthearted subtitle, “The unexpected joys of a cancer slacker,” and an image of a duck doing a Pilates side kick with its webbed feet.
