You Won’t Believe What’s Coming Next for Go Into The Story Fans!
I suppose most folks were surprised at my decision to give away the book, but longtime Go Into The Story readers might have figured as much because when I launched my blog in May 2008, I did the same thing: My vision was to create an online educational resource for screenwriters they could access for free.
There’s a history behind that decision. When I broke into Hollywood by selling a spec script (K-9) in 1987, I was a complete outsider to the business. I didn’t attend film school. I didn’t live in LA. I only knew one person who worked in the film industry and he was a lowly assistant at 20th Century Fox.
