Elden Ring Attack Timing Turns Margit Fight Into Action Movie Trailer

Perfect attack timing between an Elden Ring player and boss turns the Margit, the Fell Omen battle into a Michael Bay movie trailer. Widely considered one of Elden Ring’s toughest boss characters, Margit, the Fell Omen appears to players who attempt to venture into Stormveil Castle. Though he technically counts as an optional miniboss, this particular antagonist still proves quite formidable in battle, so much so that some players may want to practice their parrying skills before taking him on.

Developer FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment originally planned to release the open-world role-playing title in January. It hit digital storefronts and retailers in late February, however, and proved to be well worth the wait to boot. In fact, FromSoftware’s latest opus was so eagerly-anticipated that it already counts as the United States’ best-selling title in 2022 – an impressive feat for a Souls game. Now it seems Elden Ring players have taken their fun in the Lands Between beyond the game world, too.

While battling Margit, the Fell Omen in Elden Ring, Reddit user YoBoi909 encountered a pleasantly fortuitous situation that demanded a tie-in to a Michael Bay throwback. The Redditor shared a gameplay video wherein they knocked down the boss character, then ran away to put some distance between them. Once it’s time to go back in for another round of fighting, both the Tarnished and Margit jump into the air at the exact same time. And in true action movie fashion, the edited version of YoBoi909’s gameplay footage cuts away at the moment the two figures collide, making way for the Transformers (2007) credits sequence, complete with Linkin Park’s “What I’ve Done” blasting in the background. Check it out in the video linked below:

Sadly, Optimus Prime does not narrate the sequence above, but YoBoi909’s edit still makes the Elden Ring battle with Margit, the Fell Omen all the more exciting. The timing of the simultaneous attacks truly is impeccable, too, begging the question of how often similar occurrences take place for other players.

As evidenced by the sales information mentioned previously, millions of players have invested time in exploring the Lands Between. Some have even already mastered it, with more than a fair few users sharing footage of their speedrun playthroughs. A few days ago, one player managed to tear through Elden Ring without dying in less than three hours. Another user later revealed that they completed the title in under an hour. Soon enough, someone else will likely top even that incredible feat.
