Gorogoa features mind-bending puzzles like Myst, and in its second chapter, players continue on their abstract journey leading the boy protagonist towards his goal of meeting the mystical beast roaming the city. Picking up from where the first chapter left off with the red fruit, the player must begin by zooming out of the cell on the bottom right. The Inside-like boy with the red shirt will generate a thought bubble expressing that he is seeking his endeavor’s next key element, the green fruit.
The green fruit is located in a faraway garden, yet the player can help the boy arrive there in no time by solving a few abstract puzzles. After zooming out from the picture cells, players will notice that the top-left cell displays the boy in a wheelchair. He is thinking of climbing a particular flight of steps. By looking out into the distance, players will notice a structure similar to the boy’s desire. Click the building in the distance to zoom in.
Next, the player must move the boy from the rooftop to that flight of stairs in Gorogoa. To solve this stylish puzzle similar to one in Genesis Noir, players can drag the bottom-right picture onto the top left. Once he steps into the small gazebo-like structure, bring the cell’s frame to the empty space beneath. The boy will now walk up the stairs and await further interaction.
For the next step, click on the white door in the back of the rooftop scene in Gorogoa. After zooming in, place the bottom left cell on the top left again to allow the boy to walk out. Wait until he stops moving, and then put the first cell back in the space below. The protagonist will venture to the back wall and then out of sight. Click on the area where the boy went to find a bricked doorway.
To solve this next segment, players must use the world’s environment as a solution, much like the puzzles in The Pedestrian. By moving the cells, take the painting of the garden entryway from the sign and place it on the wall with the green symbol. Follow the boy after he walks through, and zoom into the two statues in Gorogoa. Once he puts the bowl in the hands of one of the statues, move the bowl picture to the bottom-left space. Zoom out of the bottom-right cell and focus on the area above the flames. Continue zooming in until a bizarre fractal design appears. Drag the cell to the top left to reveal a green eye. Finally, place the picture with the blue bowl onto the eye to change the white fruit to green.
