Matt Roloff of Little People Big World has been getting some serious backlash from fans after his feud with his son, Zach Roloff, was revealed. The patriarch has not always been a fan favorite, mainly due to Matt’s selfish habits. Now more TLC viewers are finding Matt’s annoying tendencies hard to ignore.
For years, viewers of Little People Big World viewed Matt as a harmless innovator who had too many dreams to count. But over the seasons, fans have noticed Matt’s selfish tendencies as he made decisions that best suited him. For years, Matt has tried his best to create a picture-perfect view of Roloff Farms even amid his split and divorce from ex-wife Amy Roloff. During the early years, Matt came off as quite loveable, but as TLC fans head into Little People, Big World season 23, their perfect image of Matt has changed.
LPBW viewers always knew what Matt was capable of, but no one thought he would put the farm before his family. Matt will often post very cheery social media updates and spins the narrative to show everyone is getting along, but that isn’t always the truth. Sadly, Matt’s bad side is starting to shine through, and it’s becoming apparent to viewers. Fans have lost their love for Matt and feel he is trying to manipulate Zach as he tried to do with Amy during their marriage. Viewers hate how he can’t take accountability for his past actions, like trying to take credit for Amy’s pumpkin salsa and leaving family vacations halfway through.
Matt is in no way a perfect reality TV star. Viewers will recall that the Roloff Farm owner had a bad addiction to cocaine back in the 1980s. Matt’s addictive personality found it too hard to stay away from the drug as he was likely partaking in the drug all too often. Matt was also charged with drunk driving back in 2003. Fans are over Matt’s ability to cover up his flaws and feel it he may be hindering his family. At this point, it doesn’t look like any of the children want to be around him.
Little People Big World fans officially were done with Matt after it was rumored he cheated on Amy with his now-partner, Caryn Chandler. While both Matt and Caryn deny the allegations, the timeline does match up. Season 23 has already shown a major rift between Matt and his oldest son, Zach. Viewers are extremely disappointed with Matt’s actions and feel his time to make amends is running out.
