Scott: It sounds like your approach is similar to the one we used when you took The Quest program.
Greg: Yeah, the Quest teaches a great system. You probably don’t want me to shill for The Quest on this interview, but it was really helpful. Working with you in the Quest was my first real foray into feature writing, and it gives you those fundamentals that really help with your confidence as a writer. It laid down the groundwork for me to succeed in grad school and out in the real world.
Scott: =And that script Suicide 21 ended up getting optioned. One of the reasons, that script had some compelling characters which leads me to my next question: How do you develop your characters? Do you have any specific exercises to help you find them, hear them?
